Multitalented Suki Waterhouse releases her mesmerizing new single ‘To Love’ and we sure do love it!
After the recent success of her 2022 EP ‘Milk Teeth’, Waterhouse has taken the industry by storm. From touring with Father John Misty to starring in the Amazon Prime series ‘Daisy Jones & The Six’ as Karen Sirko, we begin to question what she can’t do.
Taking on a different route from her previously heartbreak-centered music, Waterhouse releases her first optimistic love song. She states how she intended to “wait to put out [the song] on my second album, but I felt like it is a very distinct portrait of my heart right now that I wanted to share”. The soft, dreamlike track follows Waterhouse as she shows her vulnerability while providing a timeless sound that illustrates finding the right person at the right time:
“I traveled all corners where destiny called me. And it almost killed me,”
The blend of Waterhouse’s angelic vocals and sweet lyrics reflects the internal conversations we have when we meet someone we never thought we would. She describes the hold that these partners have on us for almost saving us from further heartbreak, and how truly grateful we are for them:
“I thought I’d never get to feel another fucking feeling. But I feel this love.”
While we eagerly wait for the release of her second album, we intend to keep an eye on Waterhouse in Amazon Prime’s adaptation of ‘Daisy Jones & The Six”. The first three episodes are out now, along with the show's soundtrack that features Waterhouse.
