Welsh genre-blending power outfit CVC have created another head-bopping anthem with single ‘Bonnie & Clyde’. They bring a spectacularly slick electro-disco track ahead of a string of new releases.
CVC are a band I can hardly ever get enough of, and single ‘Bonnie & Clyde’ is another example of an addictive and colourful new release driven by great vocals and even great musical compositions that surprise and uplift from the beginning until the very end. While grooving along to the beat of this cinematic track we enjoy the band’s story of high-risk, high-reward romance and rule-bending adventure. The band are known for allowing all of its members to shine, and on ‘Bonnie & Clyde’, it’s vocalist Francesco Orsi’s turn.
On ‘Bonnie & Clyde’, CVC have truly captured their live spirit, not once shying away from being too much, too bold, or too bright. On the single, they say: “The music for ‘Bonnie & Clyde’ was originally constructed as a theme song for a CVC original film. I found inspiration for the lyrics after watching the film ‘Queen & Slim’. The song centres around two characters who are willing to risk it all for the love they share.” Its synth-driven soundscape and ingeniously thrilling hooks make for an instantly addictive new release, and with it they remain at the forefront as the leaders of the pack out on the open road, as well as on our playlists.
They’ll be hitting the road and touching down across the country at its notable live venues to perform their eclectic and ever mesmerising sounds at venues such as Bedford Esquires, Tunbridge Wells’ Forum, Cabaret Voltaire, Independent Sunderland, and Wanderlust Festival. With plenty new material to be shared, and many new fans to be made, the band have got their work cut out for them, however with single ‘Bonnie & Clyde’ they show that they are more than up for the challenge!
