Sofia Kay - 'Starburst'
Canadian singer songwriter Sofia Kay has just released a pop gem of a track in the form of latest single ‘Starburst’.
With infectious doses of eighties vibe synths and atmospheric modern pop production - the track sets the path to allow this track to beautifully adventure on it’s own accord. Produced by multi-platinum producer Bram Inscore - who has worked with the likes of BTS and Troye Sivan - you can feel their influence on the track with it’s commercially driven pop themes and sounds.
"It's a song I wrote after watching an anime called "Banana Fish". The anime is a heartbreaking story that takes place in New York City in the 80s. The movie made such an impression on me that I had to write a song about it to make myself feel better!" explains Sofia Kay.
With an EP due out this fall, Sofia is hoping to turn some heads this year with her Indie pop sound.
