Festival News: Jungle to play hometown show at All Points East this summer
British electronic project, Jungle, will headline in their hometown for Luno presents All Points East on Saturday 26 August for a UK exclusive performance. The only place to be this August bank holiday - Amex presale starts 11:30am GMT Friday 17 March, tickets go on general sale on Tuesday 21 March at 10am GMT via www.allpointseastfestival.com
Founded by childhood friends J.Lloyd and Tom McFarland, Jungle formed in 2013 and developed its nature as a collective by working with different artists across diverse disciplines. Their self-titled debut record was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize, with all three of their albums reaching the Top Ten in the UK Official Albums Chart and over a billion streams to date.
To perform their music live, the London duo expanded to a seven-piece band fronted by Josh and Tom. The pair wished to challenge themselves, resisting the temptation to simply re-produce their music from their laptops, and instead translated their songs into a full and organic live experience.
After making a major impact on a world tour last year, and with a huge back catalogue of tracks including ‘Busy Earnin’, ‘Heavy, California’, ‘Casio’ and the infectious ‘Keep Moving’, their set in Victoria Park will be non-stop feel-good energy.
