The Blinders - 'Fight For It'
Manchester indie rockers The Blinders return with ‘Fight for It’ the first taste of their forthcoming EP Electric Kool-Aid (Part 2).
The vivacious rockers, The Blinders, are back again with another mesmeric anthem titled ‘Fight For It’. The single is taken from their upcoming EP Electric Kool-Aid (Part 2). This soon to be released EP is the accompaniment of their recently released Electric Kool-Aid (Part 1).
It is refreshing to see that The Blinders have taken change in their stride in the past year, as these new EP's provide a transformed version of The Blinders. There is no doubt that their debut album Columbia and their later albums, such as Fantasies of A Stay At Home Psychopath, were smash hits. Still, they portrayed their classic darker and much more angsty musical style in these previous releases. Both Electric Kool-Aid (Part 1) and Fight For It broaden the horizons of The Blinders musical ability as it sees them take the route of a more catchy, sing-along indie-rock style of music.
When talking about the particulars of their newest single Fight For It, it seems it is set to be the perfect summer's day track. A release that would be served up nicely with a refreshing beer with your friends in the park. As always, The Blinders nail the track instrumentally, and it graces a genuine air of professionalism. In addition, the music video for the single is a vivid representation of The Blinder's live performances from their Cribs support and their sold-out headline show at The Social.
Not only have The Blinders got their new EP out on May 13th, but the group have also announced that both EP's are set to combine into a legendary vinyl which shall be released on June 17th. To top of these exciting new releases, the band have some intimate live shows on the cards this June, where they will be performing at Trades Club, Hebden Bridge (June 17th), Liverpool Arts Club (June 18th) and Bootleg Social, Blackpool (June 19th).
