Baby Strange - ‘Only Feel It When I’m With You’

Ever since their first single ‘Friend’ in 2013, the Scottish group Baby Strange have provided their fans with electric, energetic and angsty hits. Their newest release, ‘Only Feel It When I’m With You’, provides a truly exciting and certainly different vibe.
The single, featuring Hayley Mary from The Jezebels, shows Baby Strange exploring a slightly new sound, adding synth and thrilling new textures. ‘Only Feel It When I’m With You’ still holds accountable their usual indignated spirit. With enraged vocals from lead vocalist Johnny Madden, Hayley’s crystal clear vocals work as a beautiful layer to Johnny’s. The release, when listened to, gives the listener the same intoxicating feeling of being addicted to someone. The instrumentals are powerful and addictive, with some guitar riffs screaming the likes of Echo & The Bunnymen. It is compelling to see the progression of Baby Strange’s musicality over the years.
The Glasgow-based lads are set to release their newest album, ‘World Below’ on the 17th of June, which will be thrilling news for many. The ten tracks on the album feature the likes of the already released ‘Midnight’, ‘Only Feel It When I’m With You’ and ‘Under The Surface’. The album itself is set to divulge a raw narrative on the after-effects of the pandemic.
Not only have Baby Strange got an upcoming album, but in other news, they also have a UK tour this May, including dates at Night & Day in Manchester and Dead Wax in Birmingham. Plus additional dates in Aberdeen, Brighton and London. Johnny, Jake, Connaire and Aiden show no signs of slowing down.
