Krooked Tongue - 'Velociraptor'
A track that will have crowds bouncing, Krooked Tongue follow up their recent successes with ‘Velociraptor’.
Bristol’s rock-trio’s latest single ‘Velociraptor’ is due for release on February 24th, and it’s a track which will certainly grab the attention of fans ahead of the release of their EP later this year.
With its big guitar sounds and effortlessly cool vocals, all heightened by the tight drum and bass, the song is almost guaranteed to bolster the band to the forefront of the music scene.
Following up critically acclaimed track ‘Lupines’ was no easy feat, yet the band have succeeded this. The unique intro seems to feed off influences from all over. The initial guitar riff seemingly reminiscent of great artists like Miles Kane, only pumped up to the max. It’s one for the crowds, and one for the moshers.
The vocal performance is filled with swagger. A real sense of confidence. Singer, Oli Rainsford really lets his presence be felt in the latest single. “You have to find space in this fucked up world to have fun, get wasted, kiss and tell” said the frontman. This attitude oozes throughout the band’s performance on the track: one of the reasons that the band are destined for great things. There is a real feeling of ‘letting loose’, from all of the band members. It definitely feels like, when performed live, the band and fans alike will be feeling the same emotions, that same ‘letting loose’.
As the second release from the upcoming EP, ‘Velociraptor’ is one for fans to be excited about. If the rest of the EP has any similarities with the track, then the band can expect a great deal of positive attention to come their way. Fuzzy guitar music that’s made for the people, that’s what the band seem to be offering with the latest release.
Tipped as one of the bands to watch this year, Krooked Tongue have outdone any expectations with their latest single, and the release of the band’s EP later this year will be greatly anticipated.
