Pearly Drops - 'I Cry While You Sleep' (Dream, Ivory Rework)

Finnish duo Pearly Drops are releasing a special remix EP of sophomore album ‘A Little Disaster’ - titled ‘Haunted Expansion Pack’. Set for release in November, the band have released first track ‘I Cry While You Sleep’.
Announcing their 4-track ‘Haunted Expansion Pack’ EP, the duo have created two brand new songs with ‘Haunted’ and ‘Heather’, whilst calling upon buzzy producers Dream, Ivory and Nourished by Time to reinterpret tracks from their album ‘A Little Disaster' in their own unique vision, breathing new life into the originals. On the first release, Dream, Ivory – a duo composed of brothers Louie and Christian Baello, with Christian AKA Ginseng collaborating with artists like Rico Nasty and Yeat – their rendition of ‘I Cry While You Sleep’, seamlessly blends their hallmark heavily distorted Shoegaze guitars with the radiant allure reminiscent of Nicolas Winding Refn's neon-soaked film aesthetics.
Pearly Drops – the duo fashioning a world out of softly smudged, contemporary pop music – shared the 11-track ‘A Little Disaster’ earlier this year: a sonic soundscape drawing narrative from picturesque art-house and horror movies as well as avant-garde fashion and digital culture rabbit holes, painting the scene of vivid nightmares and somber undertones in their unmistakably unique sound. Writing and recording during the worldwide pandemic, they found solace in their creative work, finding peace in the studio for some self-restoration and introspection. Their multifaceted DIY-spirit makes them a unique prospect as they create all facets of their output including the press shots, styling, videos and visuals.
