Hunter Sheridan - 'To You, My Friend'
Upcoming Canadian singer-songwriter Hunter Sheridan delivers dynamic new single ‘To You, My Friend’.
The single follows on from his debut album ‘Life is a Dream’ released in May 2020 which has already racked up and impressive 100,000 streams on Spotify. Hunter Sheridan’s soulful songwriting style features dreamy guitar textures and warm, gentle pianos to lay a foundation for his raspy vocal melodies to float across. ‘To you, My Friend’ is book-ended with a piano led intro and outro, which encompasses a body of slow driving soft rock experimentation. Sheridan performed the vocals, guitar and piano on the track which was self-produced with the help of Ty Callan (Bass and Drums) and Jordan Moore.
The track shares with us a message about the beauty of life and its fragility, and how we should appreciate the ones you love whilst pursuing your own passion. It is about the fear that he has not shown enough attention to people in his life while he was caught up in his own and the production effects in the song reflect this perfectly. In the bridge of the song there is an effect on the vocals that make it sound like you’re listening to him sing from a distance to reflect the meaning in the lyric.
’To you, My Friend’ is a heartwarming come back single from Hunter Sheridan and we look forward to hearing what he has in store for us next.
